Regional Procurement Manager
Location: Eastern Region
The primary focus of the role is to lead, manage and to further develop the regional procurement service for member further education colleges with the strategic aim of delivering demonstrable efficiency savings and improving quality of procurement throughout the region.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced procurement manager educated to degree level with a CIPS Diploma qualification, to manage and coordinate procurement contracts and tenders, as well as providing legislative and strategic procurement guidance for ACER’s member colleges.
Management responsibilities will include coordinating and leading on college procurement strategies and projects, as well as advising on procurement legislation and compliance, specifically with OJEU projects, either with individual or collaborative groups of colleges. Therefore knowledge and experience in this area, particularly within the Public Sector is an essential requirement of the post.
A large part of post holders responsibilities will lie in delivering regional support to the colleges, by way of encouraging best practice, securing links and negotiating with consortia and suppliers to benefit the procurement strategies within the region as well as ensuring colleges can measure their procurement effectiveness by means of the Efficiency Measurement model (EMMFE) and other KPI’s.
