Regional recruitment & redundancy
outplacement support services


This service is designed to assist colleges in developing their strategic recruitment function, providing access to a suite of resources that will be designed to help reduce costs and improve efficiency in attracting talent to the college and responding to a variety of recruitment challenges.


The service will offer colleges the ability to tap into valuable resources and support including:



The service has access to six months’ initial funding that will allow ACER to implement and develop this exciting service creating access for colleges to a resource that will be tailored to meet the needs of each member college that wishes to access the function.


Going forward there will be a membership subscription cost for each college that wishes to adopt the service and its resources, and further details on this will follow.


ACER welcomes involvement from all members as this resource is designed to not just offer regional support but also a one-to-one service that will provide specific focus and support for your individual college needs, as we recognise that these will differ from college to college.


A steering group to review and manage the new scheme will be put in place to ensure the service is offering relevant and current support that colleges can make use of immediately and start seeing benefits straight away, as well as working together to establish a more sustainable and evolving resource long term. All research, learning, successes and innovations from this will help develop and shape the service for all member colleges to access going forward.

Katie is a recruitment specialist with over 7 years’ experience supporting colleges in the FE sector in all aspects of recruitment, from establishing talent pools and running recruitment events, to implementing new and different recruitment processes, thereby increasing efficiency attracting talent to FE colleges.


As well as being experienced in delivering recruitment support to the FE sector, Katie also has strong links and networks with organisations across a range of sectors that will be vital in attracting skilled professionals into FE and will be a valuable resource for all member colleges to access as part of the service.
