ESF Regional Maths Centre Project 1st August 2008 to 31st December 2010
The Regional Maths Centre Project (RMC) will develop the existing ACER managed (LSC Funded) Regional Mathematics Centre by building the capacity of learning providers in the East of England to deliver high quality numeracy and mathematics programmes. It will do this by increasing the number of appropriately qualified and experienced numeracy practitioners and by supporting providers to develop and deliver innovative and engaging numeracy courses that result in increased numbers of learners and qualifications.
It will complement current and future professional development opportunities offered through such initiatives as the LSIS/QIA Skills for Life Improvement Programme, the National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics, Move On and the East of England Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training. It will work with existing local infrastructure organisations such as the Professional Development Centres and Learning Partnerships across the region.
