IfL Connections

The Institute for Learning is the professional body for teachers, tutors, trainers and assessors across the Learning and Skills sector, with more than 200,000 members representing the range and diversity of professionals within this sector.

All members of the Institute for Learning are committed to recording and submitting a record of their continuing professional development (CPD) each year. Members are strongly recommended to undertake this by means of REfLECT, an on-line personalised learning space that is one of their member benefits.

At a local level, the IfL Connections Advisers can offer support to organisations and individual members regarding: the 2007 Further Education Qualifications Act; recording CPD using Reflect; Professional Formation – the route to Qualified Teacher Status.
